One-third of food is wasted, contributing to 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions. GoNiña combats food waste with AI-driven demand forecasts for restaurants, bakeries, and supermarkets. In case there is still some surplus food, our platform connects vendors with consumers to save food from going to waste.
Meet the team
Ferdinand Von Hagen
Ferdinand previously co-founded ed-tech unicorn GoStudent and leads backend, data and infrastructure at GoNiña. He holds a degree from ETH Zurich in Electrical Engineering. Outside of work, you may find Ferdinand in the kitchen, creating delicious meals.
Matthieu Ochsner
Matthieu previously lead various teams at scale-up Smallpdf and is now responsible for Sales and everything non-engineering at GoNiña. He holds business degrees from St. Gallen and Rotterdam. Aside from GoNiña, Matthieu is a martial arts enthusiast.
Shiraz Hasni
Shiraz Hasni is an experienced software engineer specializing in frontend development, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Faculty of Science of Tunis. She has a strong track record of delivering impactful projects. Outside of work, Shiraz enjoys reading, learning languages, and exploring psychology.
Aline Rudin
Aline is currently studying Business Administration and Politics at the University of Zürich and supports the GoNiña Team in Marketing. She previously worked as an assistant teacher and created content for various small institutions. Aside from that, Aline loves to be creative in the kitchen or with a camera.

We are part of the Bluelion Incubator and participated in their acceleration program.
